Lymphoma, a cancer that originates in the lymphatic system, is most common in teens and young adults. It is often treatable, especially with an early diagnosis. The treatment cost per patient in most hospitals is approximately Rs. 4 lakhs. Cancare Foundation offsets these costs by providing free boarding and lodging, with doctors offering pro bono services. Chemotherapy medicines and antibiotics are procured at base prices, and blood components are sourced affordably. Last year, 21 patients were treated at a total cost of Rs. 10,08,028.
